Alva William Hefley

Alva William Hefley, age 91 of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation Center in Buckingham Township, PA.  Born in Chicago, IL, Mr. Hefley had lived in Morrisville for over 70 years.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as both a truck driver and a dispatcher for Sunoco for over 37 years.  He was a proud Veteran, serving in the both the Merchant Marines and as a medic in the Army.    Mr. Hefley was a parishioner at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville.  An avid Philadelphia sports fan, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, and especially gambling with his wife at the casinos.

Son of the late Alva and Henrietta Hefley, husband of the late Loretta (Janaski) Hefley, father of the late Gary Hefley, and father-in-law of the late Joanne Hefley, he is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Cliff Allen of Morrisville, his sister-in-law Nancy Hanuschik, four grandchildren Jennifer Hitchens, Ashley Collins, Benjamin Hefley, and C.J. Allen, two great grandsons Kyle Tuthill and Christopher Collins, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Memorial Mass at 11 AM on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  His interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call that morning from 10:30 AM until the start of Mass at the church.
