Andrzej Piotr Weiss

Andrzej Piotr Weiss, 69, of Morrisville, PA passed away on October 13 th , 2022 in his home, surrounded by family and friends. Andrzej was the owner of the Polish American Agency “Spojnik” in Trenton. He was a charismatic and unconventional man, as well as a fierce anti-communist and loud supporter of personal freedom. From 1991, he served the Polish community as an art promoter and organizer of many cultural events. Between 1992-1996, he was the publisher of the socio-cultural Polish American magazine "Spójnik," through which he was able to gather many wonderful people, artists, and writers. He loved to travel and in recent years visited many different countries and continents. He further had plans to retire in the Dominican Republic, his fiance Neysi’s homeland. For the past few months, he struggled with a serious illness that unfortunately overcame him. We will miss Andrzej, his dark sense of humor, and multidimensional personality. Andrzej was born to Stanislaw and Maria Weiss in Opole, Poland. He graduated from the Teachers College in Opole, where he received a Master of Education degree and worked as an Assistant Professor. For many years the Headmaster of the Polish Scouting Association in his native Opole, he later became a Certified Professional Photographer. Along with his cousin, he opened the Artistic Photography Studio “West Color” in Opole. In 1985, he immigrated to the USA and settled in Morrisville, PA. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents Stanislaw and Maria (nėe Pirog). He is survived by his daughter Hanna (Grzegorz) Weiss and her mother Grazyna Groniec-Weiss, his grandsons Anthony and Piotr Weiss, his brother Waclaw (Zofia) Weiss of Opole, sister Irena (Roman) Gancarz of Wroclaw, his fiancée Neysi and her children Rafael, Raimy, Pilar, and granddaughter Nathalie, and Neysi’s sisters Maria, Denice, and Shanoby and her daughter Ester, and countless number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, 872 Brunswick Ave., Trenton, NJ  08638.  His interment in St. Hegwig Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
