Anne M. (Mituri) Filipponi

Anne M. Filipponi, age 92 passed away peacefully at her home in Belmar on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, with her daughter by her side.  Born in Trenton in 1931, Anne resided there until she moved to Belmar in 2006.

Anne was an active parishioner of St. Joachim Church since 1960.  Her talents and hats were many: she was a member of the Sanctuary Guild and Little Flower Missions.  She was involved in St. Joachim School P.T.A. and was a core committee member for the infamous annual Fashion Show fund raiser.

Anne’s entire life was centered around her family and church activities….Little did she know that the ladies she met in 1960 at St. Joachim’s would  become family to us all.

Anne enjoyed cooking, baking, entertaining, and traveling.  However, her greatest joy was being with her grandson, Marc, who was the love of her life!

Daughter of the late Giuseppe and Delfina (Casciani) Mituri and wife of the late Gino A. Filipponi, she is survived by her daughter Marianne Filipponi and her grandson Marc Mole’ as well as many close relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023  (9:30 – 10:30 AM) at Our Lady of the Angels-St. Joachim Church, 20 Butler St., Trenton, NJ 08611.  Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, by Monsignor Dennis Apoldite.

Her interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Trenton.
