Anthony A. Martoccio, Jr., a remarkable son, devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, left this world on September 22, 2024, at home in Morrisville, PA. Born on April 12, 1959, in Bristol, PA, he made a great impact in the lives of those he touched.Anthony dedicated 25 years of his life, working as warehouse supervisor for Trane in Trenton, NJ. His commitment to his role was paralleled only by his passion for the game of baseball, a sport that defined much of his youth and adulthood.
He was a proud graduate of Morrisville High School, Class of 1977, where he excelled in athletics, achieving All-Area awards in both baseball and football. He furthered his education at Rider College, where he earned his BA degree in 1981 while playing baseball, embodying the spirit of teamwork and competition that would characterize his later years.
He devoted much of his time and energy to youth sports, where his contributions were profound. As Vice President of Morrisville Little League Baseball, he established himself not only as a leader but also as a mentor, making multiple contributions to the league and improvements to the fields and complex. He was the former operator and head coach of the Morrisville-Yardley American Legion Baseball Team for multiple years and was one of the original founders of the Lower Bucks Junior American Legion Baseball program, providing a platform for countless youngsters to pursue their dreams in sports. Additionally, he made a lasting impact on the community as a basketball coach for Holy Trinity CYO, inspiring many through his dedication and love for the game.
Anthony was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the Philadelphia Phillies and the Kansas City Chiefs. His joyous spirit and infectious enthusiasm for athletics could always be felt, whether at the ballpark, on the sidelines, or simply discussing plays and statistics with his family and friends.
He cherished his family above all else, celebrating 42 beautiful years of marriage to his beloved wife, Karen (Homko) Martoccio. Anthony was the proud father of three children: Stefanie Jacobson (Chuck Jacobson) of Malvern, PA; Dr. Tiffany Martoccio (Sean Chapman) of Wilmington, DE; and Gregory Martoccio (Jessica Vigale) of Pennsauken, NJ. He found immeasurable joy in being a grandfather to Chloe Robinson, Makayla Robinson, and Benjamin Martoccio, who adored him dearly. He will be remembered as the oldest sibling in the Martoccio family, leaving behind three brothers and two sisters that he loved dearly. Darrell Martoccio (Lynne), Danene Foti (Michael), Derrick Martoccio (Danielle), Marlene Seneca (Mark), and Scott Martoccio, along with several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony A. Martoccio, Sr. and Jane Alward Martoccio, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness that he passed down to his family.
In remembrance of Anthony, a Celebration of Life will be held on September 26, 2024, at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services in Morrisville, PA, starting at 8:00 PM, preceded by a visitation that same day from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The final interment will take place on October 2, 2024, at Morrisville Cemetery at 10:00 AM.Anthony A. Martoccio, Jr.’s legacy will endure, as those who knew him continue to honor the compassionate spirit he embodied, the relationships he cherished, and the countless lives he enriched. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.
