Arthur Laycock

C. Arthur “Art” Laycock, age 78 of Levittown, PA passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA.  Born in Bristol, PA, Art resided in Levittown for 56 years.

Prior to his retirement in 2010, he was employed as a police officer with Middletown Township for over 44 years, and remained a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge # 53. In addition to his civic duty, Art was a longtime member and deacon of Trinity Bible Church in West Bristol.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Art held the position of President of The Bensalem Fishing and Hunting Club.  Art enjoyed spending time every year with close friends at deer camp in Snowshoe, PA, whether out hunting or cooking meals for the group.

Art’s happy place was his cabin at The Farm in Sweet Valley PA.  He loved being surrounded by his extended family during long weekends and holidays at The Cabin.

Most recently, Art spent his time painting and produced many special paintings for family and friends.

Son of the late Charles and Helen (Cobleigh) Laycock, and brother of the late Janis Laycock, father of the late Helen Laycock, he is survived by his loving wife Yvonne (Hosgood) Laycock, his two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Laycock and Carrie and Jim Talone, three grandchildren Abigail and Keira Talone and Janis (and husband Sean) Gilmore, and three great grandchildren Faith, Hope and Cam.

His services and interment in the family lot in Sweet Valley, PA will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Arthur’s name, may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project or The American Diabetes Association.
