Barbara R. (Rogers) Sandler

Barbara Rogers Sandler passed away peacefully on December 25th at the age of 91.  She was the beloved wife of the late Melvyn Sandler and the mother of the late Nancy Lee and Scott Sandler.  She is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Timothy and Lisa, Craig and Marcia, Christopher and Robin, Lisa and Victor; by her sister Jeri, brother Leo and sister-in-law Carole, and their children Douglas and Matthew and families.  Barbara had eight grandchildren, all of whom gave her a great deal of joy: Max, Tess, Shannon, Luke, Jeffrey, Katie, Christian, and Caroline. Her close-knit family was her greatest pleasure.

Barbara and Mel enjoyed traveling and cherished their annual family vacations to Florida to visit Mel’s parents and to the New Jersey shore, still a multi-generational tradition.  Barbara enjoyed antique restoration, treasure hunting at yard sales, crosswords and trivia games, and her evening glass of wine.

A family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Good Shepherd Home in Allentown, Pa. in memory of Scott Sandler.
