Barbara A. Scarano, age 85 of Yardley, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 with her family by her side.
Born in Palisades Park, NJ, Mrs. Scarano has lived in Yardley since 1965. She was a graduate of Fort Lee High School in New Jersey and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. She was employed as a secretary with a public relations firm in New York City, as well as Princeton Applied Research, and retired as an executive assistant from the Princeton Theological Seminary. A member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, she was an avid crafter, especially enjoying scrapbooking. Barbara was also fond of solving jigsaw puzzles and traveling with her late husband.
Daughter of the late Herman Fred and Martha (Deichelman) Habersaat, and wife of 52 years to the late Anthony L. Scarano, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Barbara LeBron of Middletown, RI, Richard Myers of Brick, NJ, Denyse Russell of Oceanside, CA, Rand Russell of Portland, OR, Fred Habersaat of Leland,NC, Chuck Bodemann of Westford, MA, Donald Habersaat of Johns Island, SC, Michael Habersaat of New Milford, NJ, Charles Boyle of Morrisville, PA, Mary Ann Hughes of Robbinsville, NJ, Gloria Teti of Washington Crossing, PA, Robert Habersaat of Ashfield, MA and Thomas Habersaat of Upstate, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. The Rev. Jack McAnlis will officiate. Her interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Trenton, NJ.
Friends may gather to pay their respects on Tuesday morning from 10-11 AM in the church lounge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Mrs. Scarano’s name may be made to the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey, P.O. Box 7683, Trenton, NJ 08628.
