Bette E. Davis (mannon)

Bette E. Davis of Morrisville, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Manorcare of Yardley. She was 82.Born in Trenton, N.J., she was a lifelong resident of the Bristol, Levittown, Morrisville area.Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Thriftway Supermarkets, Franks Shop-N-Bag, and for many years with the Pennsbury School District. She loved all animals and had a special fondness for birds. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking.Daughter of the late Harold L. and Lena (Robinson) Mannon, and sister of the late Marjorie Mannon Dorothy Long, Kenneth Mannon, Viginia Davis, and Robert Mannon, she is survived by four children, Barbara Coniglio (Charles) of Levittown, Linda Mack (Michael) of Levittown, Vince Robinson (Tracy) of Levittown, and Patricia Clayton (Ray Robery) of Louisiana; ten grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Tom, Brian, Matt, Kristina, Croix, Frank, Heather, and Kelley; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Manor Care, Yardley and the Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Bette.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville. The Rev. Wendy Bellis, Pastor of the Morrisville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral chapel. Interment in Ewing Cemetery will follow service.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Bette's name be sent to the Bucks County S.P.C.A, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
