Brian W. Fitz-maurice

Brian W. Fitz-Maurice, age 59, of Yardley, PA, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013 peacefully at his home. Born in Trenton, NJ, Brian resided in Yardley, moved to Trenton for 15 years, and returned to Yardley 3 years ago. He owned his own insurance agency on West Trenton Ave. in Morrisville for 10 years before working as an insurance adjuster with Ward Services in Point Pleasant, NJ. Brian was a 1972 graduate of Pennsbury High School, where he lettered in football, as well as won the State Highjump Championship in 1972. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he also played football. Brian was also an avid golfer.Son of the late James Fitz-Maurice, he is survived by his mother Elinor (Hurst) Fitz-Maurice and his step-father Robert Somogyi of Yardley, a daughter Caitlin Fitz-Maurice of Trenton, three brothers and two sisters-in-law James and Lizabeth Fitz-Maurice of Morrisville, Jeff and Karen Fitz-Maurice of Newtown, and Tim Fitz-Maurice of Yardley, a grandson Gavin, and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his life celebration at 11 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Monsignor Joseph Prior, Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Yardley, will officiate. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM and on Thursday from 10-11 AM at the funeral chapel.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Brian's name may be sent to the Susan G.
