Bruce Laurence Platon, age 74, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at his home. Born in Bristol, PA, he lived in Morrisville and Newtown before moving to Levittown in 1983.Bruce was a member of the Bucks County Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, where he was also a member of the Lions Club. He was employed as a field technician with the U.S. Geological Survey, as well as 25 years at Rohm and Haas in Bristol. Mr. Platon was also a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.Son of the late Homer and Anneliese (Nagel) Platon, he is survived by his sister Darnley Johnson of Levittown, a nephew Michael Johnson, a niece Melanie Bernhard her husband Benjamin, four great nieces Kayla Ray, Addison Ray, Sophie Snyder and MaKenzie Bernhard, and two great nephews Aidan Ray and Braydon Bernhard. Services and interment will military honors will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on Thursday July 14th, 2016 at 1:30pm.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Mr. Platon's name, may be sent to the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 400 Freedom Dr, Newtown, PA 18940, or to the Salvation Army, 215 Appletree Dr, Levittown, PA 19055.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
