Carmen Chiacchio, Jr. age 91 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at his home in Morrisville. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Carmen lived in Morrisville for the past 55 years.
Prior to his retirement, Carmen was employed as a civil engineer at Ft. Dix, NJ. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion. Carmen enjoyed tinkering with just about everything, and, if he thought it was broken, he would fix it. As he was fond of saying, “I can fix anything.” Carmen also loved to build things and work in his garden.
Son of the late Carmen and Helen (Gliattone) Chiacchio, father of the late Carmen Mark Chiacchio, III and grandfather of the late Michael Chiacchio, Jr., he is survived by his daughter Andrea Ehlers of Morrisville, a son Michael Patrick Chiacchio of Langhorne, and two grandchildren Hailie Gallagher and Peggy & Tommy Chiacchio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Monsignor John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. His interment will follow at 11:30 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. Friends may call on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the funeral chapel.
