Catherine Louise Davis (garvey)

Catherine Louise Davis, age 75, of Morrisville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Aria Health Services of Bucks County. She had lived in Morrisville for over 50 years. Born in Osceola Mills, PA, she resided in the Birch Valley section of Levittown before moving to Morrisville in 1962. While residing in Birch Valley, she graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1956, earned an Associates Degree from Penn State-Ogontz, and began her career at Pomeroy's. Prior to her retirement in 2001, she was employed as the billing manager for Radiology Affiliates in Trenton, NJ for over 20 years. After her retirement, she worked part-time at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamiton Township, NJ. Louise was a member of Holy Trinity Church, and volunteered her time in many ways at Holy Trinity School. She also served as a Cub and Girl Scout troop leader and held numerous volunteer positions with the Morrisville Little League. She enjoyed tracing her family's history and was very proud of her Irish Heritage. She was never known to miss one of her children or grand children's athletic competitions or artistic performances, and was an avid supporter of youth sports of all kinds. Many will remember her as a fixture at athletic fields and gymnasiums throughout the area. A friend to all, she touched the lives of many, many people with her warmth, kindness, selflessness and infectiously positive attitude. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Paul and Catherine Louise (Garvey) Ritchey. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years John H. Davis; sons John Davis Jr. (Julia) of Doylestown, and Jamie Davis (Kristy) of Philadelphia, and daughter Sandy Stricker (Glenn) of Morrisville. She is also survived by brothers Lawrence Ritchey (Gail) of State College, PA and John Ritchey (Cecelia) of Mountville, PA, as well as 5 grandchildren Shannon Louise, Garrett, Gavin, Catherine, and Grace Louise, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at 12 Noon on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Holy Trinity Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, River Rd., Yardley, PA. Friends may call Sunday evening from 7-9 PM and on Monday morning from 10:30-11:30 AM at the J.
