Catherine P. Kenner, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away at her home in Levittown PA, on November 18, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on April 30, 1939 in Berkley Township, NJ, Catherine embarked on a journey that would see her touch many lives while creating a warm and nurturing home for her family.
A proud graduate of Morrisville High School, Catherine's professional life began at Ben's Deli in Morrisville. She moved on to spend a decade at Woolco in Langhorne, where she was known for her diligence and kindness before transitioning to Prudential Insurance in Willow Grove, PA. Throughout her career, she developed a quiet but impactful presence, always ready to lend a helping hand to colleagues and customers alike.
For the past 61 years, Catherine called Levittown her home, a place where she cultivated not only a beautiful garden filled with vibrant flowers but also cherished memories with her loved ones. She was reserved by nature, preferring the company of her books, particularly cowboy novels, over large gatherings. However, at the grocery store, her warmth and friendly demeanor shone through, as she engaged with everyone she encountered, winning their hearts with her genuine spirit.
Catherine was a gifted cook, famously known for her donuts and scrumptious Christmas cookies that brought joy to her family during the holiday season. She took immense pride in caring for her husband, William Robert Kenner, creating a nurturing atmosphere filled with love and support.
Mother of the late William R. Kenner, Jr., Catherine is survived by her loving husband, William (Bill), her daughters: Diane Elrath and her spouse Drew, Georgetta Yurgel and her fiance' Jim Painter, grandsons, Andrew and his spouse Anna, Kyle and his spouse Alexis, granddaughters Alison, and Jessica and her spouse Josh, her cherished great-grandchildren Teddy, Lucy, and Russell, along with her brother-in-law Thomas Kenner and his spouse Carol. Each of them carries forward her legacy of kindness, love, and devotion.
As we remember Catherine P. Kenner, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by her nurturing spirit, her passion for reading and cooking, and the love she instilled in her family. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
