Charles Anthony Speran

Charles Anthony Speran, age 94, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 at Sunrise of Lower Makefield.  Born in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Speran lived in Ewing Township, NJ from 1955 until 2001.  He then moved to Hamilton Township, NJ, where he resided before moving to Yardley in 2016.

Prior to his retirement, Charles was employed as an electrician with John A. Roebling Company for 35 years, before working as the Head of the Maintenance Department of Rider College for 15 years.  He had been a parishioner at both Incarnation Catholic Church in Ewing and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Hamilton.  Mr. Speran was a member of the Elks Lodges in both Ewing and Hamilton, as well as the senior citizens group in Hamilton.  His varied interests included making furniture, model airplanes and boats, and stained glass.  He also enjoyed country line dancing and crossword puzzles.

Son of the late Charles and Catherine (Peters) Speran, husband of the late Anna Speran, and brother of the late Ann Callahan, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Charles and Barbara Speran of Ocala, FL, a daughter and son-in-law Marianne and James Montgomery of Morrisville, PA, four grandchildren Christine (& David) Sabo, Marc (& Shari) Speran, and James and Katie Montgomery, four great grandchildren, Benjamin Sabo, Jayson Speran, and Jeremiah and Annie Sabo, and one nephew Hugh Callahan.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA.  Entombment will follow in St. Mary Mausoleum, Cedar Lane, Trenton, NJ.  There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org .

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
