Charles “Bobby” Taylor, 82, of Princeton, NJ, died Sunday April 7, 2024, at Merwick Care and Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro, NJ after a long illness.
Bobby grew up in Morrisville, PA, and was in the 1960 Morrisville High School graduating class. Bobby played the saxophone and had a lifelong love for jazz music. Following high school, Bobby served in the US Army. Bobby returned from his service and worked as a union electrician. He retired from the IBEW Local 269 in Lawrence Township, NJ.
Bobby is survived by his dear friends Kathryn Slotterbeck, Kimberly Vinch and her family, and Mark Lopez.
Cremation will be held privately. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday July 15, 2024, in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 840 Highland Road Newtown, PA 18940. Services are under the direction of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Avenue Morrisville, PA 19067. In lieu of flowers. memorial donations may be made in Bobby’s name (Charles R. Taylor) to his favorite charity: “Every Child Valued” 175 Johnson Avenue, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
