Clare J. Hume

Clare J. (McLeish) Hume, age 78, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Born in Avoca, PA, Clare has been a lifelong Morrisville resident. Mrs. Hume was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Morrisville. She loved needlepoint, knitting and crocheting. An avid gardener, she especially enjoyed growing her vegetables. Clare was a lifelong caregiver, first to her parents and two sisters, and most recently, her children.Daughter of the late Archibald and Susanna (Murdock) McLeish, and wife of the late Thomas M. Hume, she is survived by 5 children, Theresa Hume and Mary Frans of Morrisville, Ann (& Ronald) Roberts of Levittown, William Hume of Pemberton, NJ and Robert Hume of Morrisville, a sister Louise Sweeney of Boynton Beach, FL, 5 grandchildren, Zachary and Matthew Smith and Lynn, Ronald Jr., and Crystal Roberts, two great grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Smith, and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067 (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Rev. John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Morrisville, will officiate.
