David Marshall Read

David Marshall Read, age 84 of Yardley, PA passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 at his home with his family.  Born in Ledgewood, NJ, David lived in Toms River, NJ for over 10 years before moving to Yardley 3 years ago with his wife Barbara.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a lineman/supervisor and consultant with New Jersey Power and Light Company for over 30 years.  A proud Navy Veteran, he enjoyed playing with his great grandchildren, camping and motor homes. He was a computer wizard, and loved their dog Daisy. He was a kind and loving friend, husband, father and grandfather. Everyone wanted to be with him.
Son of the late Edison John Read I and Margaret (Bird) Read, father of the late David M. Jr. and Edison John “Bucky” Read II and brother of the late Louis and Russell Read, he is survived by his wife Barbara, a daughter Margaret Welsh (Candido Barreto) of Bethlehem, a step-daughter Andrea (Dan) Hagerman of Yardley, a step-son Michael Durkee of Levittown, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
