Dolores Ruth (Wilson) Shemelia

Dolores Ruth Shemelia, age 71, of Morrisville passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was raised in Bordentown, NJ before moving to Morrisville over 30 years ago. She retired from the state of NJ, Department of Transportation 13 years ago.
Mrs. Shemelia was a devoted Christian, being a member of Compass Fellowship Church where she ministered in service for more than 30 years, especially to the hearts of children and mothers. She was a member of the Morrisville Senior Center where she enjoyed playing bingo, playing pitonk in Okeechobee, shopping at thrift stores, camping in their RV and spending time with her grandchildren. She was well known for her ability to always make people laugh for her kind and generous nature and for always thinking of other people more than herself.
Daughter of the late Russell F. and Dolores May (Carr) Wilson; mother of the late Chris Shemelia; sister of the late Charles Wilson. Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Kenneth W. Shemelia, Sr.; children, Kenneth W., Jr. and Julie Shemelia of Morrisville, PA, Shawn and Wendy Shemelia of Levittown; two sisters, Joann and Jerry, and Linda; grandchildren, Kyle, Jena, Kennedy, Cassidy, Cody, Presley, Nicole, Ashlee, Dayna, Lexus, Karissa, Maurina, Delaney, and Eliza; Great-grandchildren, Methuselah, Tevon, Andre, Joey and Abel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Shemelia’s memorial service at the Compass Fellowship on March 4, 2023 at 11 AM. The Reverend Gary Taylor will officiate.
Friends may gather from 10 AM until service time.
Luncheon will follow the services inside of the fellowship hall.
