Donald E. Grogan, age 78, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicago, IL, Don lived in Bluffton, IN before moving to Yardley 44 years ago.Don was the loving husband of 55 years to Genevieve (Leibach) Grogan. He was a loving father to six children, Gregory and Jill Grogan of New Hope, Gayle and Peter Guidotti of Yardley, Timothy and Janine Grogan of Newtown, Christopher and Hsi-Yun Grogan of Bala Cynwyd, Amy and Galen Snyder of Levittown, and Mitchell and Stephanie Grogan of Allentown. Don was very proud of his fourteen grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and his nieces and nephews. Son of the late Elmer and Kathryn (McNicholas) Grogan, Don had two brothers and a sister, Howard Grogan of Chicago, IL and Raymond and Lina Grogan of Lee, MA, Barbara Deck of Novi, MI.He was a graduate of Marquette University, and earned his MBA from Purdue University. Don worked at Franklin Electric in Bluffton, IN as an industrial engineer, before moving to Yardley in 1971 to work with Dove Corporation. In 1976, he started his own manufacturing company and in later years he formed a consulting company that he ran for over thirty-five years, specializing in continuous improvement. Don was a hardworking father who always found time to coach and support his children in their activities, and later supporting his grandchildren proudly. As a parishioner of St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church in Yardley, Don was active with the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid and loyal fan of the Pennsbury Football Falcons, enjoyed golfing, and was a staunch supporter of the Phillies and Eagles.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his funeral mass at 10 AM on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church, 999 Reading Ave., Yardley, PA 19067. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery, Newtown, PA.Friends may call Friday evening, Jan. 29, 2016 from 7-9 PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W.
