Doris Jean Davidson (halfhill)

Doris Jean (Halfhill) Davidson, "Nan", age 90, of Churchville, PA, formerly of Levittown, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Nan was a longtime resident Levittown before moving to Churchville several years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Woolworth's in Levittown Shopping Center for many years. Nan was an avid sports fan, enjoying all of the Philadelphia sports teams. She was an extremely caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, who always enjoyed family get togethers, especially the annual Halfhill family reunions. Nan enjoyed collecting elephants. She and Pops could always be seen at their great grandchildren's sporting events. Together, they enjoyed flea markets, dominoes and bingo, puzzles, and going to the dollar store. In her later years, Nan loved to travel with her daughter and her sisters, and going to casinos and playing Slingo.Daughter of the late Everett and Hazel (Murray) Halfhill, wife of the late William F. Davidson, and mother of the late Cheryl Davidson and Doris "Dolly" Jean Puchalski, she is survived by two grand daughters, Holly Puchalski and Doris Witty, a grand son and his wife Wallace and Christine Puchalski, three sisters, Sally Rechtenwald of Virginia, Barbara Pindar of Pennington, NJ, and Marge Oliver of Hulmeville, PA, seven great grandchildren, Stephen, Stephanie, Tim, Carl, Brandon, Kellyn and Keara, one great great granddaughter, Taryn. and many nieces and nephews. and great nieces and great nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Deacon Mike Scannella will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA.Friends may call from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Mary Hospital Volunteer Program, 1201 Langhorne-Newtown Rd., Langhorne, PA 19047.
