Dorothea E. Scheidemantel

Dorothea E. Scheidemantel, age 94, of Morrisville, PA, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Willingboro, NJ. Born in DuBois, PA, she moved to Ellwood City, PA following her marriage to her late husband, Floyd V. Scheidemantel, on January 18, 1945, and then moved to Morrisville in 1954. She was an active member of Morrisville Presbyterian Church since 1959, where she was honored as Woman of the Year in 2005 for her service and dedication. In addition to her many church and Girl Scout activities, Dorothea worked with her husband in their various business ventures. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, George and Della (Resinger) Kyriazis and her sister Anne VanSice. She is survived by two daughters, Sally Sue Scheidemantel of Willingboro, NJ and Cindy Stokolosa of Swedesboro, NJ, three grandchildren Nicholas, Peter, and Alexandria, and two great-grandchildren Ben and Evie. Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at 11 AM on Monday, December1, 2014 at the Hutchinson Memorial Chapel of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA, 19067. The Rev. Bruce Ballantine, Interim Pastor, will officiate. Friends may call Monday from 10-11 AM in the church lounge. Her committal service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, 551 Perry Hwy., Harmony, PA. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions in her name to the Morrisville Presbyterian Church at the above address. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
