Dorothy J. Martin (disler)

Dorothy J. Martin, age 85, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Manorcare of Yardley. Born in Morrisville, she was a lifelong Morrisville resident.Dorothy enjoyed plastic canvas, tending to her many flowers and plants, and also breeding parakeets (budgees) in her younger days. Dorothy operated Doties Lunch Counter inside the United Cutrate in Morrisville for 18 years. She also managed the "Chew Chew" inside Oxford Valley Mall before it closed. Prior to her retirement, Dorothy was employed as a Laborer with Blue Chip Manufacturing Co. for eight years. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and a member of the AFL-CIO Union Local 59.Daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen Mae (Pagles) Disler and mother of the late Robert and Jimmy Martin, she was also preceded in death by her loving companion of 26 years Lewis Springer, her brother Nicholas "Skeets" Disler and her sister Mary Moser. Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Helen Van Aken of Morrisville, four granddaughters, Dorothy Bresnen, Christine Lee, Hillerie Swinehart, Kerrie McLaughlin, a son Frank Martin of Morrisville, granddaughter Shawna Martin, grandson Robert Martin and granddaughter Melissa Yenchick, brothers John Neuman (and Joanie Efthimiou) of Levittown, PA and Paul and Terry Neuman of Ewing, NJ, sisters, Ruda and Ike Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Evelyn Palotti of Florida, Betty Shipp of Morrisville, Elaine Beatty of Levittown, and loving niece Gayle and Lester Heller of Falls Twp., plus many, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral mass at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. Interment will follow in Morrisville Cemetery.Friends may call Sunday evening, March 20, from 7-9 PM, and on Monday morning from 9 - 10 AM at the J.
