Our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Dorothy Jean Christian Polensky Glenn of Bucks County, left her earthly body to be with her Lord on September 6, 2017 at her home.Dorothy was born October 31, 1928 in Kilmarnock, Scotland to Donald Christian and Elizabeth Robertson (Findlay) Christian. At the age of twelve, her family relocated to Southampton, England, as her father was recruited to assist in the WWII secret project, The Mulberry Harbour Project.As a teenager in Southampton, she met a charming American GI, George Polensky, whom she married five years later, on December 24, 1949, leaving her native Great Britain to relocate to Morrisville, PA.Dorothy and George welcomed their first child, Sharon Elizabeth in 1951, followed by Janice Christian in 1953, and Donald George in 1956.George passed away July 25, 1973 at the age of 54. Dorothy remarried May 20, 1984 to Ogden E. Glenn, who passed away June 11, 1993.In addition to her three children, she is survived by three grandsons, Matthew Andrew Curtin of Yardley, Adam Hunter Curtin (and wife Colleen) of Newtown, PA, and Andrew James Stevens of Jhubei, Taiwan. She is also survived by her five great grandchildren, William Grayson, Piper Jayne, and Molly Cate, Cora Ryan and Connor Joseph.The family is profoundly grateful to Dorothy's dear friend and assistant, Gloria Hayes, who was so devoted and loving and who provided exceptional care and comfort to our mother.Dorothy's services and interment will be held at a date yet to be determined, at the convenience of the family.The family requests memorial contributions, in Dorothy's name, be sent to the Bucks County S.P.C.A., 1665 Street Rd, New Hope, PA 18938 (http://www.bcspca.org/).Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
