Edward T. Esslinger, age 68, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the hospice of Aria Hospital in Frankford. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Esslinger was raised in Bensalem, PA and lived in Warminster, PA before settling back in Philadelphia 40 years ago.In Philadelphia, he was a parishioner of St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church. Prior to his retirement in 2000, Mr. Esslinger was employed as a milkman with Harbison Daries and Balford Farms. Edward was an avid fisherman who enjoyed working on antique cars and model trains.Son of the late Edward F. Esslinger, he is survived by his wife Karen E. (Somerville) Esslinger, his mother Marie T. (Burke) Esslinger, 2 daughters Michelle Gleason and Denise Esslinger, both of Philadelphia, 2 sisters and brothers-in-law Helen and Charles Vogel of Hatboro, PA and Marie and Andrew Johnsen of Morrisville, PA, a brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Quiettra Esslinger of Mt. Royal, NJ, 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial mass at 11 AM on Monday, April 20, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 728 Big Oak Rd., Yardley, PA 19067. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.Friends may call on Monday from 10:30-11 AM at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edward's name may be sent to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (www.chop.edu/).Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
