Edward L. Mckenna

Edward L. Mc Kenna 85, of Morrisville, PA died Saturday August 9, 2014 at his home in Morrisville.Born in Orange, NJ Mr. McKenna has been a resident of Morrisville for over 55 years moving here from Parsippany, NJ. Mr. McKenna retired as a machinist for Public Service Electric and Gas Company where he had worked for over 40 years.Mr. McKenna was an Army veteran of the Korean War.He was a graduate of Verona High School class of 1947. Mr. McKenna was a Scout Master for Troop # 46, he was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. Mr. McKenna was a little league coach for the Pennsbury Athletic Association. He was an avid fan of the NY Yankee's and the NY Giants he enjoyed all types of sports. Mr. McKenna also was an avid stamp and coin collector. Husband of the late Viola F. (Smith) McKenna and brother of the late John and Walter McKenna, he is survived by one daughter, Kathleen A. Lincoln, of Westminster, MD; four sons, Kevin J. McKenna, of Levittown, PA; Timothy K, McKenna and his wife, Joanne, of Levittown, PA; Brian J. McKenna and his wife Betsy, of Levittown, PA; Terrance J. Mc Kenna and his wife Irene, of Levittown, PA; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 12:00 noon in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Big Oak and Makefield Roads, Morrisville, PA under the direction of the J. Allen Hooper funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville.., PA.Relatives and friends may call at the funeral chapel on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 7 to 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 10:30 A.M. until time for departing for the Mass.In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made out in his name to a charity of the donor's choice.
