Eileen B. Schulman, age 84, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in the hospice unit at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. Eileen was born at her home in Chingford, UK, a subdistrict of Chingwell, Essex County, on July 10, 1930, to John Charles Payne and Annie Esther (Kettle) Payne. She went to the Church of England School, Chingford E4 and then worked for Sun Alliance Ins. Co., No 1, Moorgate. As a former resident of Trenton, Eileen was employed at Corestates Bank in New Jersey when she moved from Trenton to Morrisville, PA 30 years ago.She traveled extensively, visiting many countries throughout the world, which melded incredibly well with her love of photography. Eileen loved cats, and was a master at knitting. She was a member of ECHO (Energetic Citizens Helping Others) since 1999, serving on the Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large from 2008 until 2014. She served on ECHO's Program/Fundraising Committee and was an active and faithful participant in the monthly Newsletter distribution group, the Prayer Shawl Ministry, Purple Hats Society, Knit-n-Stitch Group, and the Book Club. A member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville, NJ, Eileen was active in the church choir over the years and was a regular Sunday greeter.Wife of the late Samuel Lawrence Schulman, step-mother of the late Sarah Beth Marshall, and sister of the late Edna Simpson, she is survived by two nieces, Diane Pearce and Kathryn Bodell, of Kent, UK, a nephew Melvyn Simpson of Norfolk, UK, and two close cousins Derek Barker of Stanford Essex, UK and Ivy White of the UK.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Hope Presbyterian Church, 140 Denow Rd., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. The Rev. David Rowe, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
