Elizabeth J. Strobele (krysa)

Elizabeth "Betty" J. Strobele, age 82, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Chandler Hall in Newtown, PA. Born in Morrisville, she was a lifelong area resident. Betty was employed with the state of New Jersey and retired in June 1998. She was a graduate of Morrisville High School, Class of 1950. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville.Daughter of the late George and Victoria (Zakowaka) Krysa, and sister of the late Helen Straszynski, Larry Krysa, Anne Sims, Sally Dymowski, Mary Bonderchuk, and John Krysa, she is survived by her beloved husband, Howard J. Strobele, with whom she had been married for 61 years . Also left behind to miss her are 2 daughters and sons-in-law Christine and Woody Armstrong of Robbinsville, NJ and Sondra and Bob Mervine of Swarthmore, PA, 3 sisters and a brother-in-law Eileen Pianowski of Morrisville, Lynn Eichinger of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and Margie and Don Habel of Chesterton, IN, 3 grandchildren Alyssa and Olivia Armstrong and Danielle Mervine, and many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her life celebration on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at 11 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. The Rev. John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yardley, PA.Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 AM - 11 AM at the funeral chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mrs. Strobele's name may be made to Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N.
