Elizabeth M. Townsend (mabery)

Elizabeth M. Townsend, age 95, of Yardley, PA, wife of the late Earl C. Townsend, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. She was born in Bristol, and has resided in Lower Makefield for the past 36 years. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia and son-in-law Ronald Beede, grandchildren Beth White and her husband Charles, Stephen Beede and his wife Kristy, and great grandchildren Christian and Liam White and Ethan and Charley Beede.Elizabeth graduated from Bristol High School, attended Pierce Business School and the John Wanamaker Commercial Institute. She was a member of the Wanamaker Girls Bagpipe Band. She was later employed at 3M as secretary to the plant manager for 33 years. Elizabeth retired in 1982. She belonged to the Lower Makefield Woman's Club and several Bridge Clubs. Elizabeth was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in YardleyRelatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067 (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 47 W. Afton Ave., Yardley, PA 19067. Interment will follow in Bristol Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at the above address.
