Elmer Varadi, age 98 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully in his home on January 3, 2023.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Morrisville. Elmer worked for Atlantic Products Corporation for over 35 years. He then began a career in landscaping and painting for the Princeton, NJ Hospital where he was loved for his energy, humor, and skill. Elmer was an active member of the Morrisville congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses since his baptism in 1976. He enjoyed his volunteer work which assisted many in the community. Elmer was known for his piercing blue eyes and stubborn streak that got him through many difficult times in life, such as three years being confined in the hospital as a child. He was known to be tough but loving, committed, hardworking, a voracious reader of history and lover of the outdoors. He took much pride in his study of the bible and his ministry helping others learn how the bible can change lives. Throughout his life he loved tending to his vegetable garden, fishing, and daily exercising which included his beloved weightlifting. He most loved cooking for family and finding a good bargain. He discovered his love of pizza while dating his wife and further enjoyed spending time with his grandkids whether it was on a tire swing, being at the beach, eating pizza or playing roof ball after school.
Son of the late Geza and Susan Varadi, Elmer is predeceased by his six siblings and his loving wife of 75 years, Pearl Varadi. He is survived by his beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and David Matthews of Morrisville, PA. Susan and Joseph Kondash of Saratoga Springs, NY. Grandchildren include; Grant Matthews, Dean Matthews, Devon Matthews (Jackie), and Wendy Kutcher (Larry) and many nieces and nephews.
