Frank J. Radvany, 94, passed away on Friday December 7, 2012. Born in Trenton, NJ, he lived in Lower Makefield for 60 years. He graduated from Hamilton High school in 1936 and attended Rider College where he received an Associate's Degree in Accounting. During World War II, he served from 1936-1941 in the U.S. Army Ordnance Department and was discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant. Frank was employed by New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company as a Claims Supervisor and retired after 37 years of service. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisville for 51 years. Frank was also an active member of many local civic organizations for over 40 years, including the Mercer Lodge No. 50 Free and Accepted Mason; Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Central Jersey; Trenton Forest No. 4, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was Treasurer Emeritus Crescent Shrine, A.A.O.N.M.S., member of Crescent Shrine Provost Guard. He was National Director of the William Penn Association, a fraternal benefit society, and served as Secretary Emeritus of its Boards of Directors for 41 years. He was President of the William Penn Association, Branch 13, Trenton, NJ; member of the American Hungarian Civic Association and the Princeton Shrine Club. Son of the late Frank and Rose Radvany, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elsie Kerekes Radvany; two daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and Mason Lilly; and Arlene and Lee Gordon; three brothers, Joseph (deceased) and his wife Marjorie Radvany, Charles (deceased) and his wife Dorothy Radvany, and John and his wife Olga Radvany; and three grandchildren Shira, Andrew and Michael Gordon.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 7pm to 9pm on Monday December 10, 2012 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 West Trenton Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067. The funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday December 11, 2012 at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067. Interment at the Riverview Cemetery in Trenton, NJ will follow the funeral service.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140-4131, or the William Penn Association Scholarship Foundation, 709 Brighton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15233-1821.
