Frankie Evelyn Day, age 85, of Langhorne, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Langhorne Gardens Nursing Center, Langhorne Manor Boro. Born in Gage, OK, she lived in Yardley, PA for 12 years before moving to Langhorne Gardens.Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cook with the Gage School District. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a great cook, especially cinnamon buns. Frankie enjoyed cats, her favorite being Missy. She enjoyed gardening and was everyone's friend at Langhorne Gardens. Mrs. Day was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother.Daughter of the late Frank and Ida May (Brown) Ferchau, and sister of the late Frank, Oscar, Clyde, Robert, and Temple Ferchau, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Day of Yardley, a brother, Donald Ferchau of IL, 2 grandchildren, Donald Day of Morrisville and Christopher Day of Florence, NJ, 4 great grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Michael, and Brandon, and several nieces and nephews.Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Animals in Distress, 102 Winding Way, Trenton, NJ 08620.
