Galliano Jack Scaccetti Jr.

Galliano Jack Scaccetti, Jr., age 84, of Columbus, NJ, received his promotion to Heaven on Aug. 7, 2015 with his wife and children by his side. Born in Trenton, NJ, Jack raised his family in Hamilton Township for 39 years before moving to Columbus 20 years ago.Prior to his retirement, Mr. Scaccetti was employed as an accountant/procurer with U.S. Steel Fairless Works for 36 years. He then worked for the New Jersey Department of Transportation for 25 years. Jack was a parishioner of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Trenton, where he was extremely active, serving on the Church Council, and as a trustee, and running the church carnival. He was a proud member of the U.S. Steel Chorus. Mr. Scaccetti especially enjoyed the Phillies, Ronald Reagan, golf, Jeopardy, and his special Chicken Galliano. He was very fond of his group of friends at the pinochle club, and loved to debate principles. He was the ultimate optimist. Jack loved his family more than life.Son of the late Galliano Jack Scaccetti, Sr. and Angelina Mattai Scaccetti, father of the late Lorrie Anne Geist, and brother of the late Henry and Benedict Scaccetti, he is survived by his beloved wife Helene (Ruski) Scaccetti, 3 sons and a daughter-in-law Jack and Dawn Scaccetti, and Stuart and Scott Jerome Scaccetti, a daughter and son-in-law Joy and Anthony Tozzi, a sister Marion Hanuschik, a brother and 3 sisters-in-law, Leon and Tina Scaccetti, and Elaine and Rachael Scaccetti, 15 grandchildren Brad (and wife Andrea), Devon (and wife Lisa), Courtland (and wife Mallory), Brooke, Carson, Madison, Jena, Ashley, and Dustin Scaccetti, Natalie, Morgan, and Christian Geist, and Nicholas, Jack (his namesake), and Michael Tozzi, and 5 great grandchildren, Isabella, Gianna, Luke, Tessa, and Bronson, as well as many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his funeral mass at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1717 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ 08610. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, River Rd., Yardley, PA.Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8:30 PM and on Wednesday morning from 8-9 AM at the J.
