Gary W. Doan Sr.

Gary W. Doan, Sr., age 74, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his home in Morrisville. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Doan was a lifelong Morrisville resident. He did reside for a short time, from 1977-1987 in Solebury Township. Mr. Doan had been employed as a crane operator with Thackray Crane for 25 years. He was a member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, as well as the operating Engineers Local # 542. Gary enjoyed working on cars and was an avid fan of NASCAR.Son of the late Chester and Rose (Tarr) Doan, and brother of the late Chester Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (McNulty) Manning-Doan, four sons and a daughter-in-law Gary Doan, Jr. of Old Fort, TN, James and Edith Doan of New Hope, PA, Justin Doan of Morrisville, PA, and John Manning of Fairless Hills, PA, a daughter Christina Doan of Morrisville, PA, a brother and sister-in-law Frank "Corky" and Jennie Doan of Hamilton, NJ, a sister Gail Flesch of Hamilton, NJ, 5 grandchildren Brianna McNamara, Matthew, Alexis, and Sydney Doan, and Julia Manning, and many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 9 PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. Final disposition will be held privately at the convenience of the family.Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-9 PM at the funeral chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Gary's name be made to the Morrisville Presbyterian Church Food Bank, 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067 or to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
