Emblem

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Gary David Schulz, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Gary departed this world peacefully on February 19, 2025, in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, reaching the age of 69. He was born on August 12, 1955, in Trenton, New Jersey, and was raised in Hamilton, where he cultivated a deep love for the outdoors.

Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving his country with honor. He dedicated 25 years of his professional life to the Base 10 Computer Software Company in New Jersey, before embarking on a fulfilling 15-year career as a computer technician with Verizon. His work was not only a testament to his skills but also to his unwavering commitment to service and excellence.

Those who knew Gary will remember his zest for life and his diverse interests. He found joy in skiing, golfing, and fishing, often seeking solace in nature and the beauty it provided. Gary was passionate about spending time outdoors, sharing laughter, and making cherished memories with his family.

He leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughters, Crystal Schulz of Fairless Hills, PA; Tiffany and Tom Egan of Collegeville, PA; and Brandy and John Lewin of Churchville, MD, along with his six beloved grandchildren: Sadie, Jack, Madeleine, Vera, Cecilia, and Tommy. Gary is survived by his sisters, Sue and Rick Aloi of Brownsville, NJ; Patty and Mark Rusinovich of Hamilton, NJ; as well as several nieces and nephews who will carry on his memory. He is also survived by his beloved cousin and best friend Brian Disbrow, who remained by his side throughout his life acting as a surrogate uncle, father, and mentor to Gary’s children.

Gary reunites now with his parents, William Schulz and Gloria Disbrow Schulz, as well as his brother, William Schulz, Jr., who have all preceded him in death. Their memories will be held close by all who loved Gary, as they were part of the foundation of his life.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gary's life at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services 41 W. Trenton Ave. in Morrisville, PA. A visitation will be held on March 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Gary will then be interred at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton Township, NJ, laying to rest at 12:00 PM amidst the tranquility he loved so much.

Gary David Schulz will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and the importance of enjoying life's simple pleasures. As we honor his memory, let us remember the warmth of his presence and the joy he brought into our lives
