George Slifko, Jr., age 98, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Brunswick of Attleboro, Langhorne, PA. He was born on April 5, 1916 in Morrisville, PA.George was a hard-working, self-made man. Prior to his retirement, while working as a tool and die maker for the Budd Company on Red Lion Road in Philadelphia, he built and maintained one of the first strip shopping centers on W. Trenton Avenue in Morrisville, PA. He was a proud Air Corps veteran of World War II. George also enjoyed going to the Indianapolis 500 ever year and fishing with his friends. After he retired, he also enjoyed working around his home and caring for, and feeding, his beloved birds.Son of the late George and Johanna (Spisak) Slifko, husband of the late Mary Agnes (Pruisk) Slifko, and brother of the late John, Frank, and Michael Slifko, he is survived by his sister Mildred (Slifko) Massari of Morrisville, PA, three children Ronald and wife Laura of VA, Audrey and husband Steven of CT., and Richard of Philadelphia, six grandchildren, Brian, Jane and Eric Slifko, Elizabeth (Katz) Kluz and husband Scott, Joseph Katz and wife Amy, and Heather Slifko, four great-grandchildren Olivia and Andrew Kluz and MacKensie and Brody Katz, and many, many nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Big Oak Rd. and Makefield Rd., Lower Makefield Twp.
