Georgia Lynn Brous, born on January 1, 1944, in Reno, Nevada, peacefully passed away at her home in Levittown, Pennsylvania, on April 5, 2025. A cherished and beloved individual, Georgia will be remembered for her kindness, sweetness, and unwavering support of her family.
Georgia dedicated many years of her life to education. As an elementary school teacher, she inspired countless young minds, helping to shape the future of her students before her well-deserved retirement. Her commitment to education was complemented by her strong academic foundations, having earned a master's degree from Bloomsburg College that equipped her with the knowledge and skills to guide and nurture her students. Beyond her teaching career, Georgia was known for her passion for reading and traveling, often seeking adventures wherever she could go. She had a zest for life that was reflected in her love of sports, particularly cheering for the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Philadelphia Eagles. Georgia's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her family.
Georgia was predeceased by her parents, George and Ellen Brous, and her sister, Judith Mervin, and her brother-in-law, James. She is survived by her loving family, including her niece and nephews, Jill WIllis and her husband Terrence, Douglas Mervin, and Craig Mervin, as well as her great nieces and nephews, Golden Willis, Sterling Willis, and Tobiah Willis ( who had a special place in her heart for the last 13 years). They will carry forward her legacy of love and support, knowing that she will forever be cheering for them. Though she is no longer with us, Georgia Lynn Brous leaves behind a profound impact on the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift her family, who will hold her memories dear to their hearts.
