Georgiana (Lafferty) Gallena

Georgiana (Lafferty) Gallena, age 79 of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 5, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA.  Born in Altoona, PA, Mrs. Gallena lived in Pittsburgh, PA before moving to Yardley in 1950.  She also spent ten years living in the Florida Keys.

She was a graduate of Pennsbury High School and attended Hood College in Maryland. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at Penn Jerdel Insurance Company. Georgiana loved the beach, and spent many happy summers in Ocean City, NJ.  She especially enjoyed water sports and dancing. Georgiana loved going on Caribbean cruises and was lover of animals.  She received great joy by watching her granddaughters dance and play soccer as well as watching her grandson play baseball.

Daughter of the late Fred B. Lafferty, Jr. and Betty (Reichard) Lafferty, she is survived by her devoted husband John "Jack" Gallena, 2 daughters Wendy B. Parker of Levittown, PA and Amy Conigliaro of Stafford, VA, her grandchildren Cassidy and Cameron Parker and Kaitlyn and Jack Conigliaro, her brother and sister-in-law Fred and Beverly Lafferty of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in the Hutchinson Memorial Chapel of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA.  The Rev. Deborah Heffernan, Interim Associate Pastor, will officiate.  Her interment will be held privately in the church's memorial garden.

Friends may call on April 14th from 10-11 AM in the church lounge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Gallena's name may be sent to the Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA  18931.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
