Gregorios Fanarisios

Gregorios Fanarisios, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Morrisville, PA, on March 31, 2025, at the age of 68.

Born in Arta, Greece, Gregorios immigrated to the United States in 1976, where he ultimately settled in Morrisville.

He devoted two decades of his career to the Adelphia Restaurant followed by another twenty years at the Golden Dawn Diner near Five Points in Levittown, PA. His coworkers and countless patrons were touched by his kindness and dedication, creating lasting bonds. Gregorios found joy in many interests, being a huge soccer fan who especially loved cheering for Real Madrid. He also enjoyed watching the Phillies and the Eagles. A proud gardener, he often spoke of how fulfilling it was to created his own garden of figs, grapes, and tomatoes.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Joann Fanarisios; their cherished children, daughter Sofia and her fiancé Adam Behrens, his beloved grandchild, Matthew Behrens; his son, Gregory and his girlfriend Kathleen of Morrisville; along with his three stepchildren; Tracy McIntyre, Vicky and her husband Mark Hicinbothem, and Lillian Franco, and six great-stepchildren and two great grandsons. Also relatives in Greece; his brothers Stafos, Vagelio, and Nicko, along with his sister Christina. Gregorios also leaves behind an immense amount of friends he has made throughout life. He will be dearly missed. Gregorios lived with unyielding strength and resilience, inspiring everyone around him. His journey ended peacefully, but his legacy will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

The family invites all who wish to honor Gregorios’s life to a memorial gathering at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, located at 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA, on April 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Spinal Injury Association 9702 Gayton Road Suite 306 Richmond, VA 23238.
