Heinrich “Henry” Mockenhaupt, age 83 of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia. Henry was born in New York City. He moved to Fairless Hills, PA in 1972 and then to NE Philadelphia in 1990, ultimately residing at the Delaware Valley Veterans Home until his passing.
Mr. Mockenhaupt enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1958, serving 7 years prior to his discharge in September of 1965 with the rank of Airman First Class. He was employed in the oil & gas industry in New York before starting his own investment firm in Philadelphia.
Henry enjoyed bowling and was a baseball fan, rooting for his favorite team, the Phillies.
Son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Jacobs) Mockenhaupt, he is survived by his ex-wife Freda Mockenhaupt of Yardley, Pennsylvania, son and daughter-in-law Carl & Susan Mockenhaupt of Yardley, Crista Mockenhaupt of Boynton Beach, Florida, his grandchildren Benjamin, Zachary & Olivia, his twin brother Otto and many nieces and nephews.
Services with military honors will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA on September 13, 2022 at 2:30pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend the service.
