Helene R. Scaccetti (nee Ruski), age 87 of Columbus, NJ was promoted to Heaven on Thursday, December 3, 2020, after a day surrounded by her children. Born in Fallsington, PA, she moved to Hamilton Township where they raised their five children for 39 years before moving to Columbus 25 years ago.
Helene worked at U.S. Steel, Fairless Works, where she met her dear husband. Helenes heart was being a homemaker but she was also employed with the Lawrenceville Prep School working in graphic design and later worked at The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Helene loved her family deeply, was a dear friend to many, loved her husband fiercely, and loved her Lord. An avid reader, she relished in studying the Word of God. Helene was an artist, she painted, played piano, an amazing girl scout leader, gardener and fabulous cook. She enjoyed sewing and needlecrafts, such as quilting, cross stitch, counted cross stitch and crochet, and was active in several quilting groups. With her wonderful sense of humor, she and her husband enjoyed dinner and dancing meaningful friendships including belonging to card clubs like the Hamilton Pinochle Club.
Daughter of the late Anthony and Jenny (Kuchinski) Ruski, wife of the late Galliano “Jack” Scaccetti, Jr., mother of the late Lorrie Anne Geist, sister of the late Eleanor Needham, and sister-in-law to the late Henry and Rachael Scaccetti and Benedict Scaccetti. She is survived by her three sons Jack (and wife Dawn) Scaccetti, Stuart and Scott Jerome Scaccetti and her daughter and caregiver Joy (and husband Anthony) Tozzi, brother-in-law Leon (and wife Tina) Scaccetti, sisters-in-law Marion Hanuschik and Elaine Scaccetti, fifteen grandchildren Brad (and wife Andrea), Devon (and wife Lisa), Courtland (and wife Mallory), Brooke (and husband Christian), Carson, Madison, Jena, Ashely, Dustin, Natalie, Morgan (and husband Kevin), Christian, Nicholas (and wife Jade), Jack and her very special grandson Michael, nine great grandchildren, Isabella, Gianna, Luke, Tessa, Bronson, Talia, Ford, Baron and Grady, as well as many nieces and nephews, friends and very caring and loving aids Marcia Joy and Ashley Mo.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020 from 11 AM – 2 PM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. Masks will be required and social distancing protocols will be enforced. Her interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Flowers will be accepted and welcomed.
