Henry Robert Piotrowski, age 94 of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at the home of his daughter in New Hope, PA. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mr. Piotrowski lived in Levittown, PA for the past 68 years.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Parts Inspector for General Motors in Ewing, NJ for 45 years. Henry enjoyed salt water and surf fishing, horse racing, working in his yard and, foremost, spending time with his family. Henry served with the US Navy aboard the USS Thompson during World War II and took part in the Invasion of Normandy on D-Day on June 6, 1944. He was awarded the Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal and European Theatre Medal with two stars.
Son of the late Stephen and Theresa Piotrowski, and husband of the late Natalie Anna (Pekala) Piotrowski, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Joanne Simmonds-Childers and Wayne Childers of New Hope, PA, a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Kay Piotrowski of San Dimas, CA, five grandchildren Shaun (Savanna) Simmonds, Lianna (Kevin) Fagan, Alina Childers, Robyn Piotrowski and Allison (Kevin) Kemp, and four great grandchildren Ridge Simmonds, Jesse Booth, and Emma and Connor Kemp, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be held at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
Additional services and burial in Old St. Hedwig's Cemetery will be held at a later date.
