Henry T. Rose, a beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully at his home in Morrisville, PA, on February 25, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on September 22, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, Henry's life was characterized by dedication, hard work, and a deep love for his family.
Henry began his professional journey as an assembly worker for General Motors Fisher Guide Division in Ewing Township, NJ, where he devoted 30 years of his life. Following this, he spent two decades working as a courier for the Princeton Packet, displaying his commitment to service and reliability.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Henry served during the Korean War, exemplifying the values of courage and patriotism. His military service was a significant part of his identity and resonated throughout his life.
Henry's passions extended beyond work. He was an avid bowler, participating actively in several leagues at Hamilton Lanes, where he formed lasting friendships through the sport he loved. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed indulging in old movies on Turner Classic Movies, relishing the nostalgia and artistry of classic cinema.
Henry lived in Allentown, NJ, before moving to Morrisville more than 40 years ago, where he established deep roots and made numerous friends in the community.
He is survived by his loving daughter Paula Grant of Florence, NJ; son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Sandra Grant of West Grove, PA; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Karen Grant of Lake Placid, FL; daughter and son-in-law Pamela and John Urban of Millville, NJ; and sister-in-law Eleanor Lingrell of Columbus, NJ. Henry was also the cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews, whose lives he touched profoundly.
Henry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine (Waters) Grant-Rose, whose memory he carried in his heart throughout his life.
His services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
