Herbert Thomas Hale, Sr., age 79 of Levittown, PA passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 1, 2021. Born in Trenton, NJ, Herbert was a lifelong resident of Levittown, PA, who after graduating from Pennsbury High School and the Bucks County Technical School, served in the US Navy Seabees, then went to work for William Levitt and Sons as a surveyor. He also worked at the US Steel Fairless Site as a draftsman/engineer, the LBCJMA as superintendent at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Bucks County Technical School as a drafting teacher, PC&S Engineers as a Field and Land Development inspector, and many more places where his love of construction and drafting was prominent. He also had his own contractor/construction business for several years. He loved the Phillies and Eagles and always enjoyed being in his backyard and pool with his grandchildren and family.
Son of the late Edward and Anna (Gilmore) Hale, he is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jane Harriet (Farrell) Hale, his three sons, Herbert, Jr. (Kathleen), Scott and Michael as well as his grandchildren, Herbert III, Ashlyn and Michael, Jr. and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 AM on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. The Deacon Leslie Mazzacano will be officiating. His interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call Friday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at the funeral chapel.
