Hugh Davis

Hugh Davis, age 89 of Levittown, PA passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA.  He was born in Scranton, PA to the late Robert and Bertha Mae (Russell) Davis.

He graduated from East Strasburg High School in 1952.  Mr. Davis also graduated from Erie County  Technical School prior to attending the University of Buffalo.  He worked for Roosevelt Paper Company in Philadelphia for 19 years before retiring in 1997 as a supervisor.  Hugh was a proud Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War.

Husband of the late Ida (Dubreville) Davis and the late Jean (Buckingham) Davis and brother of the late Robert, John, Harry, Jackie and Nancy Davis, he is survived by three sons, Hugh M. Davis of Westchester, PA, Glenn Davis of Sunset Beach, NC, and Stuart Davis of Levittown, PA, a daughter Dawn Lynn Davis of Manor, PA, a stepson Sean P. Young of Levittown, PA, two sisters Lois and Mary Davis, five grandchildren Sarah Davis Gyves of Levittown, PA, James Davis of Bristol, PA, Sean Lynn of Manor, PA and Santina and Savannah Davis of Sunset Beach, NC, and three great grandchildren Gabriella Davis, Colton Gyves and Quinn Davis and a special friend Marie H. Wassel.

His committal service with military honors will be held 9:30 AM  Friday, Feb. 17, 2023 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA  18940, entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
