James Robert Hilkene, age 56 of Yardley, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, he was a longtime resident of Yardley.
Jim was a loving husband, father, son and brother and a devoted friend to many. His friends and family enjoyed his contagious good humor and captivating stories about his upbringing, vacations on Lake George, and hobbies. From a young age, Jim was fascinated with business and entrepreneurship and devoted much of his time to several business ventures.
Jim was a graduate of Pennsbury High School and earned a B.S. Degree in Finance from Clemson University. He worked in accounting and finance for over thirty years.
He will be missed, remembered, and loved forever by his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Diane Elaine (Jefferson) Hilkene, his father and stepmother Robert and Kathleen Hilkene of Lansdale, PA, his mother and stepfather Leonora and Claude Layman of Philadelphia, PA, two sons, Matthew Robert Hilkene and Andrew William Hilkene, both of Yardley, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wendy and David Rees of Doylestown, PA, and Debra and Edward Bernat of Bethesda, MD, his wife’s brother Michael (Kristin) Jefferson of Rancho Santo Margherita, CA, and nieces and nephews Morgan, Gavin, Sofie, Isa, Lucy, Evan, Kate and Keaton.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather and greet the family on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Come as you are, black attire is not encouraged. His interment will be held privately.
