James J. King, Sr.

James J. King Sr., age 71 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at St. Mary’s  Medical Center of Langhorne, PA.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Jim spent his childhood in Bordentown, New Jersey. He eventually settled with his wife Anne Marie in Morrisville, PA.

Jim graduated from Cathedral High School in 1969. After his graduation, he spent a few years at St. Joseph University in Philadelphia, PA eventually leaving to pursue a career with the Burlington County Sheriff’s department. Following his time as sheriff’s deputy, Jim began a career as a computer programmer.  Jim’s passion for computer programming was evident in how often he would donate his time to individuals and organizations to help them with their various tech needs.

He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, where he was a part of the RCIA team and served as a lector, cantor, and eucharistic minister. James was a member of the Knights of Columbus Lodge # 3673 and Mission Fire Company of Bordentown, NJ. He was a passionate New York sports fan, cheering for the Giants, Mets and Rangers.

Son of the late James H. and Sylvia (Schenkenberg) King, brother of the late William King,and husband of the late Anne Marie (Keister) King. James is survived by his son, James J. and Sarah King of Yardley, PA, siblings, Michael P. and Ginny King of Hamilton, NJ, and Patricia and Russ Roberts of Bordentown, three grandchildren, Brendan, Meghan and Declan King as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his Memorial Mass at 11 AM on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  His interment in Resurrection Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Friends may gather at the church on June 24th from 10:30 – 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James’s name may be made to Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (www.holytrinitymorrisville.org).
