James William Lord Sr.

James William Lord, Sr., age 81, of Robbinsville, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 at his home. Born in Fallsington, PA, James lived in Trenton before moving to Robbinsville 57 years ago.Prior to his retirement, Mr. Lord was employed as an auto mechanic with Hudler Ford, McCafferty Ford, and Haldeman Ford for over 60 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 35. Mr. Lord was a graduate of Pennsbury High School. James was a member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church. He loved stock car racing, especially at East Windsor, Flemington, and Hightstown. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed motorcycle riding. He was extremely handy, building his own home. James also loved horses and working in the garage with his sons.Son of the late William and Anna (Loch) Lord and brother of the late Eleanor Steward, he is survived by his wife Irene (Sarrio) Lord, 6 children James W. Lord, Jr. of Yardville, Linda Lord of Robbinsville, Michael (and Kathy) Lord of Robbinsville, Joseph (and Debbie) Lord of Imlaystown, NJ, Cindy (and William) McCabe of Hamilton Twp., and Tonia Lecato of Robbinsville, NJ, a brother Robert Lord of Tennessee and sister Dorothy Paterno of Maryland, 9 grandchildren Christopher Lord, Samantha Lord, Nikie McCabe, Joseph Lord, Jr., Victoria McCabe, Robert Lord, Michael Lord, Jr., Tony Lecato, and Trevor Lecato, and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Rev. Bruce Ballantine, Pastor of Morrisville Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Morrisville Cemetery.Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM and Thurs. morning from 10-11 AM at the funeral chapel.
