Joan Dorothy (Barton) Davis

Joan Dorothy Davis, age 91, of Levittown, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Woodbourne Place on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Joan moved to Morrisville for one year before moving to Levittown in 1958. She was an assembler at Heineman Electric for over 20 years before retiring to take care of her family and home. Joan was very active in the Falls Township Senior Center, serving on the board and as the caring & sharing representative.  When she was not playing bingo, she enjoyed organizing dances and spending time with her friends. She loved traveling, especially visiting the beach.

Daughter of the late Shreeve and Dorothy (Howell) Barton; wife of 63 years to the late Richard M. Davis; she was also preceded in death by her son, Richard M. Davis II, her great-grandson,Crawford Reagan Carroll; her brother, Thomas O’Brien, and sisters, Cecelia Darrah and Helen Sojka.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her loving children; Deborah Davis of Hamilton, NJ and Jeffrey and Michelle Davis of Collegeville, PA; her brother, Shreeve Barton of Hamilton, NJ; grandchildren,Max Andrew Davis-Scholle, Tara Alyssa and Cormac Carroll, Kathryn Joan Davis, Ethan Jeffrey Davis; Great-Grandchildren, Quinn Andrew Robert Carroll, Hudson Jack Carroll; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joan’s funeral service at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel on February 7, 2023 at 7 PM. Calling hours are from 5 – 7 PM.
