Joan M. (Zeigenfuss) Frey

Joan M. Frey, age 87 of Morrisville, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Heartis - Yardley.  Born in Franklin Township, PA, Mrs. Frey lived in Morrisville for over 60 years.

She was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, and prior to her retirement, worked with the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart in Yardley for 14 years.  Joan was a member of the Morrisville United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Neshaminy Chapter #374, serving as Past Matron and District Deputy.  She was a member of the Women in the Air Force (WAF) Association and American Legion Post # 95 in Bridgeton, NJ.  Joan was an avid reader and enjoyed camping.

Daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Walck) Zeigenfuss, wife of the late Norwood "Woody: Frey, sister of the late Nancy Zeigenfuss, grandmother of the late Traci Johnson and great grandmother of the late Giovanni Allen, she is survived by six children, Kevin (Joanne) Frey of Morrisville, Nancy (Mark) Hamilton of Hampstead, MD, Wayne (Jennifer) Frey of Belleville, IL, Peggy (Don) Smallwood of Fredericksburg, VA, Terry Frey of Langhorne, PA and Shawn (Kimberley) Frey of Littlestown, PA, a brother James Zeigenfuss of Palmerton, PA, four sisters Betty (Marlin) Frey of Lehighton, PA, Joyce Cassidy of Houston, TX, Faye (Bill) Wetzel of Kunkletown, PA and Bonnie (Tom) Wieder of Lehighton, PA, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 12 Noon at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  His entombment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem, PA.

Friends may call Friday from 10 AM - 12 Noon at the funeral chapel.
