JoAnn Brodie, age 78, of Yardley, PA, died Thursday, Jan 8, 2015 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, PA. Born in Minneapolis, MN, she lived in Montana, then to Colorado Springs, CO, before moving to Yardley 4 years ago. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Brodie was a self-employed attorney. She was a graduate of Northwestern University, received her law degree from John Marshall Law School, and graduated from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary. Mrs. Brodie was a novelist, and avid skier who loved to scuba dive, and a cellist who loved chamber music. Above all, she was a loving wife and devoted mother.Daughter of the late William and Josephine (VanZant) Lahr, she is survived by her loving husband Donald E. Brodie, her children Dale Ann and Joe Kasuba of Bartlett, IL and James and Sage Nieman of Colorado Springs, CO, her step-children Frederick Brodie (& Donna Val Alst) of Cranford, NJ and Ms. Diana Brodie of San Francisco, CA, and 4 grandchildren.Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family, entrusted to the care of the J.
